The Paperbark Mission
Mikala specialises in portraiture, utilising a range of mediums to create stunning works of art. However, in 2023 she has begun working on a new series, The Paperbark Collection. This collection of work is a homage to her beloved home, the Sunshine Coast.
Mikala's paper bark art captures the essence of her favourite Sunshine Coast places, and each piece of art is meticulously crafted to reflect the natural beauty that surrounds her.
The purpose of each sold piece of art by Mikala Beeche, under the Paperbark Collection, is to demonstrate the value of art in bringing about positive change.
A donation from each sale is donated towards raising funds and creating awareness for the ongoing preservation of the Sunshine Coast, thereby contributing towards the larger goal of environmental conservation.
Acknowledgement of Country
Mikala Beeche acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands, and waters we all now share.
Mikala recognises that these have always been places of cultural, spiritual, social, and economic significance.
